Parisian Store front TP mini swap

Hello every one!!

I just mailed off my part of a themed toilet paper swap mini. There were several of us and we were to make 6 of the same page. We sent in 5 and kept one then we will receive 5 and bind all 6 of our pages and have a wonderful mini to keep. The colors were black, pink, cream, ivory. I truly hope they like my interpretation. I had a total blast with this one. Please enjoy the pics.

 I wanted the packages to be kinda cute so this is the ladies will see when they open their boxes.

 This is the front of the mini. Hard to believe that just a few days ago this was a toilet paper roll. (I ironed them) LOL I hope that  you will be able to see that the windows are crackled. I used Elmers gel glue. I heard you could and I figured out a method that works for me. I love it.

 This one is a tadd blurry but I really wanted to zoom in as best I could. I love that you can see the Eiffel tower from my "store window".

 I love the page too. Ok, I just really like the way this came out in general. The ticket is awesome. It is a CTMH stamp and I used the Art philosophy cartridge to cut it out.

 On the back of the ticket is where I wrote all of my information.

 I used a real pattern to make this. I find patterns at my local thrift store for next to nothing. Most of them are so old NO one in their right mind would ever use them. ;) They sure do look cute on my tag though.

This is the back of the baggie. I went to my local Good will and found TONS of lace for .50 - 1.99. I have a fair amount of lace now. ;) Good thing too because I love to use it. Now I don't have to feel bad.

Contest entries for Kathryn's Blog Life on the scrapbeach

I had so much fun doing these layouts for the contest. I hope you all enjoy them.


 This first one is for Challenge #1.  Use a grid.  I chose to do a 12x12 layout simply because I don't do them often I am working on getting more of them done.

I used the grid as the backround. I also loved the idea that this is my whole family as children. When my children go up I am going to make the companion page to this be all of us as grown ups.

Challenge #2 was to use red white and blue as the colors in your layout. It is getting very close to valentines day so I had my hunny on my mind.

I love this in the corner. I have had this fat quarter for almost 10 years and I am so happy to use it. I thought it fit so well with my hubby and with the red white and blue theme.

Challenge #3 was to use layers. I have never ever been so bold as to use so many layers, but I LOVE it. I think this one is my favorite.

I am happy that I got to participate in this contest. I love getting to do these challenges because I learn so much about scrapbooking every time. I love to see how many people interpret the same sketch a million different ways. I also love to see other peoples entries. Every time I see one I say "WOW I never thought of that.  I hope you enjoyed the layouts I made. I must confess that there were 4 challenges, but I am not sure if I have time to finish all 4 since they are due to be linked to her website by 9 pm eastern.

Goodmorning crafters!! Normally Mondays are not particularly spectacular to me especially when I had to wake up at evil o'clock.  I apploud the awesome people who are morning persons I truly admire ya'll. I am so far away from being a morning person. I am a 9 - 10 (ish) kinda gal. Oh and that is recent for me. Up until about a year or so ago I was a 10- 11 (ish) kinda gal.  This morning there was lots to do. So, I am up and at um.

As promised on Friday (or was that Saturday) I have some pics for you.

This wallet mini was inspired by Charliejones2628 (her youtube user name). I used the dimensions of the box she gave instructions for (ish). I changed a thing here and there. This is cover. This was made for a baby shower. The mom is such a sweet lady it was such a pleasure knowing she was going to be receiving it.

I left this spot open for the nice big photos you get when the baby is first born and one underneath the some so they can do a nice family portrait.

 I just love the little song books in the G45 playtimes past paper.  This is a card and in the next pic you will see how it sits in the album. The card has space for 4 photos. There is a card set up like this on the other side of the mini as well.

A band glued to the paper holds the card in while allowing you to take it out and look at all of the photos.

 How cute is this onesie?? My sweet scraptastic friend Rose sent me these onesie cut outs. I thought they were just perfect for this mini, so I decorated them and popped an eyelet in them and used jump rings to attach it to the page. The back of the mini had journaling lines.

I must say this onesie is my fav. The little ribbon umpire waist and the little hearts. Love it!!.

 this is the very center of the wallet mini. How sweet it was of Rose to stamp the girl onesie with the info.

 This one up and one below are the left and right that fold down to cover the very bottom center. (shown in the photo with the vital info stamped on the onesie.

 This is the bottom of the wallet when you first open it up. Goodness my pictures are usually much more crisp then this.

I also made a small blanket for the baby.

 Out mommy to be picked purple and pink as here colors, so I made a quick granny square crochet blanket. The dark purple is mohair yarn as is the green . The mohair yarn was sent to me by my mother for my birthday last year. It is really soft and very beautiful. The light purple is Caron super soft (sweet lilac - I think). The white I have no idea it was a sweet hand me up from my mother in law.

just a quick note and Graphic 45 Communique album.

I just wanted to put a quick note up here for all the wonderful people who read my blog. ;) I have been working like crazy on several projects this week. Oh boy, will I have pictures for you this weekend. I will have pictures of  at least 4 projects.
I can't wait to show you what I made for the baby shower I am going to this weekend.
I also can't wait to show you a project I made based on Laura from Following the paper trail Ustream class. ;)

 The bow is a tiny strip of film.

 The embellishment in the corner of the page is a piece of old used film that the image did not show.

 These are CTMH hinges. I think they are awesome.

 I used pastel chalks on this then my homemade glimmer mist.

 I love that the buttons are how the picture is held into the book. The pic rests on them.

I made this booklet with some of the left over scrap paper. Hand embossing and dry embossing technique.
